Wimpie's Country Restaurant is a small hidden gem for classic Southern comfort food. My friend and I stopped in for lunch, and we couldn't have been happier. I had the smothered grilled chicken, which was perfectly cooked and covered in a rich, flavorful gravy. The cornbread muffins were outstanding — moist, slightly sweet, and just the right texture. My friend ordered the hamburger steak, which came with all the fixings and was cooked to perfection. Our server Jamie S was fantastic — attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed without hovering. The atmosphere was warm, rustic, and full of country charm. If you're looking for real down-home cooking with top-notch service, Wimpie's is the place to go. GO VOLS!
Great little place! Came in on a quiet night — the parking lot was packed — everyone was enjoying their food. Despite the crowd, service was prompt and the food came out quickly! The shrimp and grits and fried chicken were phenomenal. The brisket sandwich and the beef liver were good too. Cannot recommend higher!
