About Sushi Train
On South Locust Street in Denver, Sushi Train has become one of the city's most beloved sushi institutions — the kind of place Denver natives make a point of visiting every time they're back in town. The concept is simple and deeply satisfying: a real conveyor belt sushi bar where your order is delivered by an actual miniature train, creating one of the most fun and memorable dining experiences in Colorado.
But Sushi Train is far more than a gimmick. Regulars who have traveled to high-end sushi restaurants across the country keep coming back and say the rice is simply on point — that subtle, signature detail that separates good sushi from great sushi. The fish is fresh, the rolls are creative, and the portions are generous.
The All-You-Can-Eat option is the main draw for many guests. Crucially, the AYCE dinner includes premium specialty rolls — not just the basics. The Dragon Roll, Broncos Roll, Volcano Roll, Beef Lover Roll, and the legendary Fried California Roll are all on the table. Guests describe the experience of a full platter of 20+ nigiri arriving tableside as genuinely unforgettable.
Beyond sushi, the menu covers hot Japanese mains — teriyaki, udon noodle soups, yakisoba — and a full lineup of appetizers from gyoza and baked mussels to soft shell crab. The dessert highlight is the Tempura Ice Cream (fried banana and ice cream), which has become a beloved birthday surprise from the kitchen. The staff is consistently described as warm, attentive, and welcoming to families and regulars alike. This is a true Denver gem.

I love Sushi Train!!! It's one of my all-time favorite spots for All You Can Eat. Great service, great price, fresh food, fast. I love the Beef Lover Roll and they have a great selection of appetizers on AYCE — not just rolls. The staff is always friendly and attentive. I've been coming here for years and never had anything less than a wonderful experience. The sushi bar is fun — it serves your order on an actual train!
I have been to some very fancy sushi places and had some very exotic rolls, but nothing compares to the simplicity of this Denver gem. I find myself constantly comparing other places to these guys — the flavor of their rice is just on point. We've celebrated every occasion here and they never disappoint. The serving staff has always treated my kids like family. If you haven't tried the Fried California Roll, what are you waiting for? That thing will knock your socks off! This is My Sushi Place.
We went for my birthday dinner and were pleasantly surprised at the quality! The AYCE dinner included all the premium rolls too. The wait staff were so genuinely warm and welcoming. The Unagi was better than most I've had in Denver. They brought out a super yummy fried banana and ice cream dessert that we all loved. We'll definitely be coming back soon!
